The Blue Stone Beach in Ende, Flores is composed almost entirely of unusual turquoise, blue, and reddish stones.
A good source of income to the local villagers, they would gather these colorful pebbles to be sold to ready buyers. It is said that these stones originated from seafloor swept by waves and stranded on the shores of this beach.
Locals around the area mostly work as rock miners. They sort the stones by shape, color and size. Later, stones they gathered would be sold to traders who come from the city.
